Polish Intelligent Development Award

Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development of the Gdynia Maritime University prof. Tomasz Tarasiuk, on behalf of the University,  received the Polish Intelligent Development Award from the Deputy Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Ms Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak.

The jury honoured the Gdynia Maritime University in the category: Innovative technologies and future research for the implementation of the project entitled "INCONE60 - E60 coastal route as an impulse for the development of blue transport / Inland Blue Transport Connector E60" and a positive approach to disseminating the current results of projects among the entire society. The INCONE60 project is implemented within the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2014-2020 and co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund.

The award was presented during a gala which was the culmination of the 6th point of the Intelligent Development Forum. 

During the gala, individuals were also honoured with statuettes of a scientist of the future. The Intelligent Development Forum is a space for very active discussions and meetings of several hundred industry leaders and people setting new trends with experts and practitioners in the development, commercialization and implementation of work results based on inspiring ideas. The awards moment was an opportunity to meet inspiring people who paved the most effective paths between a thesis and market success.
